  • frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

    • How do I get a letter of good standing?
      • You may be asked to provide a Letter of Good Standing from St. Peter for catholic school, or if you are considering being a godparent, sponsor, or witness to a sacrament outside of St. Peter Parish.

Being a member in good standing means that we verify your registration here, as well as your active participation in our parish life in terms of time, talent, and/or treasure. As such, you are known to the staff and are an active Catholic. Please contact the parish office as soon as you know that the letter is needed.

    • How do I get information in the bulletin/bulletin board/or in the church vestibule?
      • Bulletins
The Sunday bulletin is created in the parish office by the Parish Secretary and then sent to our printing company, Diocesan Publications, in Columbus, OH. To meet the printing deadline, items for the bulletin must be in the parish office by Thursday, 10 days before the date of the bulletin. Part of this submission deadline may include getting permission from the pastor to include your item.

Requests for placing an item in the bulletin may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to stpeter@cdlex.org, or dropped by the office during office hours.

If you are homebound, contact the church office staff and a weekly bulletin will be mailed to you.

To read more about the bulletins, or to view recent bulletins, please click here.

        Flyers
Flyers may be presented for distribution with the bulletins on Sunday morning.  The deadline for submitting flyers is the same as for bulletins. All flyers, whether placed in each bulletin or in the church entrances, must be approved by the pastor. This also applies to all other printed materials.

        Fundraising
The parish policy for fundraising by groups outside of the parish is that requests be submitted to the Parish Council for review. Groups desiring approval should contact the parish office to request their proposal be placed on the Parish Council’s agenda for the next monthly meeting.

        Church Bulletin Boards
There are three bulletin boards in the church building; one is located in the campanile (bell tower) entrance and one in the vestibule (front entrance). These display parish and diocesan materials. Please request permission from the pastor to have an item placed there.

The third bulletin board is also in the vestibule and is dedicated to parishioners serving in the armed forces. Please keep them in your prayers. If you would like to have your loved one's name and photo on this bulletin board, call the parish office.

        Wethington Parish Center Bulletin Boards
There two bulletin boards in the Parish Center; one in the hallway and the other in the dining/ meeting room.  Please contact the church office to post items to these boards.
